Discover this beautiful county-owned park that Delaware Nature Society manages to benefit biodiversity. Our Middle Run Reforestation Project is a volunteer-driven effort that improves the quality of the watershed through the planting of more than 50,000 trees and shrubs since 1991.
The Middle Run Birding Trail is a carefully-managed showcase for the reforestation project and is the premier location in Delaware for viewing migrant songbirds – particularly in Fall migration.
At this Middle Run Pond Complex view wetland wildlife like herons, egrets, ducks, and geese. An active Beaver dam creates a unique flooded thicket hosting diverse aquatic plants and animals.
