Inclement Weather and Program Attire
Programs are conducted rain, snow or shine. Dress for the forecasted weather conditions and wear clothing to keep comfortable and dry. Boots or old gym shoes are recommended. In case of inclement weather, activities may be modified and moved indoors. Programs may be canceled and rescheduled or refunded due to severe weather at the discretion of our education staff.
Our COVID Promise
The goal of all our programs and camps is to ensure all our participants have a fun, informative, and safe outdoor experience. DelNature is taking a conservative approach to relaxing our COVID protocols due to a significant portion of our program participants have not yet had the opportunity to be vaccinated. To provide the safest environment possible, and in consideration of the state requirements for children’s summer camp programming, we are still requiring masks and social distancing in a variety of programs and delivery locations. Vaccinated adults may remove their masks for outdoor programming when social distancing is possible. We will continue to update these policies as circumstances change.
Privacy and Youth Protection
We respect the privacy of our members, donors, volunteers, and others who support the mission of DelNature. To learn more about our policies and processes beyond the below, call 302.239.2334.

Golden Tomato Flex CSA Market Card Policy
Thank you for investing in the 2021 farming season. I understand as a Delaware Nature Society (DelNature) Golden Tomato Flex CSA Farm Share Market Card holder I am making a financial commitment upfront for access to farm grown produce, eggs, and regional/local fare over a 32-week period, May – November. My investment is actualized by DelNature/Coverdale Farm Preserve when I actively shop at The Market at Coverdale. It is my responsibility to come to The Market at Coverdale for the items of my choosing during the market season and hours, no food or fare will be reserved for me and special market hours will not be available. I understand that the Golden Tomato Card is not a credit/debit card and has no implied warranties. DelNature/Coverdale Farm Preserve is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged cards or any unauthorized card use. The Golden Tomato Card is redeemable for The Market at Coverdale Farm Preserve merchandise only. Unused value remains on card and cannot be redeemed for cash. I recognize that the variety and quantity of produce, eggs, and local fare available depends upon growing conditions that vary from season to season and vendor availability. By participating in this Flex CSA, I am supporting local agriculture, a healthier environment, a healthier citizenry, and ensuring my money stays in my community.
