Flint Woods Preserve

The Flint Woods Preserve features the largest remaining old growth hardwood forest in Delaware. Flint Woods provides habitat for Neotropical song birds and rare wildflowers among towering, mature trees. Facilities include a colonial road, a pavilion with picnic tables, fireplace and scientific field equipment.

Discover what it would be like to live as the Native Lenape did. Learn how to track, hunt and fish using only things found in nature. Build basic traps such as spring and fixed snares. Create fire using hand drills. Develop your ability to hit a specific target with bows and arrows and an atlatl. Make your own arrow head necklace to identify your tribe. And much more! Meets daily at Flint Woods Preserve. Directions will be provided. Led by Rob Yacucci
