Represents the Delaware Nature Society in telephone and face to face communications with the public, promotes the Society mission and programs, and assures the most satisfactory experience for members and nonmembers. Performs data entry, word processing, and other administrative assistant duties to assist staff. Takes registrations for public programs, collect trail fees, and sells merchandise. Promotes our mission by building strong relationships with the people we serve to grow membership, volunteerism, advocacy, program participation and financial support.
Answers telephone calls and directs inquiries for staff members, board of directors, and volunteers. Answers queries associated with public programs, memberships, public group programs, summer camps as well as any other calls and web requests pertaining to activities at all four sites. Takes registrations for programs, collect trail fees, and sells merchandise through Altru database.
Time Allocated: 60%
Greets and directs visitors to the Visitor Services Center and answers inquiries. Provides guidance on hiking opportunities and points of interest at Ashland Nature Center. Actively introduces visitors to membership and program opportunities, distributes literature to non-members. Assists other departments with data entry and other work when requested.
