Winter weather outside does not have to stop nature fun and education. Now our littlest naturalists can discover local wildlife and enjoy nature activities in their classroom with Delaware Nature Society’s (DelNature) “Bring DelNature to You” programs for preschool and daycare audiences.

“Interactions with the natural world at a young age are vital to developing a personal connection with nature and the environment and inspiring future generations to be stewards of our habitats and natural resources,” said DelNature School and Group Programs Team Leader David Pragoff.

This Winter, DelNature will take discovery on the road with activities and live animals to make the natural world come alive through 30-minute or 1-hour featured and custom programs for children ages 3 – 5.  With themes like Animals in Winter, Are You a Farm Animal, and Animals of the Marsh, DelNature activities are designed to be hands-on, inquiry based, and age-appropriate.

DelNature also offers a variety of nature education programs for schools, families, and groups. Committed to delivering high-quality, experiential education programs that engage all learners, DelNature lessons cover a broad range of topics with an emphasis in areas of science, agriculture, and history. The environment provides a special opportunity for teaching science as well as other curricular content in a way that is engaging for students.
