How to Advocate: Yes, You CAN Contact Your Elected Officials!

Robin Glazer, Environmental Advocate

Can anyone contact an elected official? Yes! DelNature’s advocates regularly meet with legislators, but the process for calling, emailing, or requesting meetings is the same for everyone. Once you reach out to an individual or office, someone will follow up with you for any next steps, such as correspondence or scheduling.

Choose Clean Water Coalition’s Policy Specialist Sara Ramotnick (left), DelNature’s Environmental Advocate Robin Glazer (center), and Delaware’s only House representative Congresswoman Sarah McBride (right).

Follow the links below to see who represents you and how to get in touch. You can submit comments, request meetings, and learn other ways to communicate. A similar process is in place for federal, state, and local agencies – find the one you’re looking to connect with online.

This information was requested at a recent Be An Environmental Advocate (BEA) webinar. Our next BEA webinars will be in Fall 2025 – but you can always reach out about how to speak out for open space, clean water, and more.
