Ashland Hawk Watch
Daily 9 am – 4 pm (September – November) | Ashland
Visit Ashland’s Hawk Watch Hill for the 15th annual Ashland Hawk Watch to scan the skies for migratory hawks, eagles, falcons, and many other birds. Better yet, join our volunteer team to help record data and look for birds on the move! Led by our Hawk Watch Coordinator and Hawk Watch Volunteers.

Nighthawk Watch
Nightly 3pm – dusk (August 23 to September 4) | Bucktoe
Take a picnic dinner along with your binoculars and scan the skies for migrating Nighthawks. Led by Larry Lewis. These birds in the “Nightjar” family can put on a show as they wheel through the air to pursue moths, beetles and other large insects.

Ainsworth Abbott’s Historic Grist Mill Tours
3rd Saturdays (March – November) 1pm, 2 pm, 3pm | Abbott’s
Take a guided tour of historic Abbott’s Mill with a seasoned mechanic! Learn about the unique history of the mill, dating back to 1795. Experience the rush of the water through the turbine and feel the rumble of the mill stones. Pre-registration is required. Recommended for ages 5 and up.
