How to Give a Gift of Stock

Many donors make donations of stock or appreciated securities and qualify for tax deductions for the full amount of the current value of the stock and avoid capital gains tax by contributing the stock directly to the Delaware Nature Society (Fed. Tax ID # is 51-6018321).

It's easy! The best way to accomplish the donation is to

1. Ask your broker to transfer the stock electronically to the Delaware Nature Society's gift account #1815 at Haverford Trust Company. The internal Account is #302466 and our DTC number is 901.
