These programs are offered in partnership with the Delaware Department of Education and provide students with a hands-on opportunity that supports and expands on their classroom experience. Freshwater Aquatic Biology - June 21-25
Explore and study freshwater systems. Learn to determine the health of waterways; canoe the Brandywine Creek; use collecting equipment to survey streams/marshes/ponds; maintain individual aquariums; and conduct research on a component of freshwater biology. This program is based at Ashland Nature Center, Hockessin, DE.
For students entering grades 7 & 8
Marine Biology - July 12-16
Explore and study ocean, bay and tidal areas. Explore a saltmarsh by canoe, collect brackish and salt water organisms, visit University of Delaware's marine biology lab, conduct an experiment on a component of the Delaware estuary, dissect shark, squid and bony fish. This program is based at Abbott's Mill Nature Center and Lewes, DE.

Careers in Science - July 26-30
Ever wonder what it takes to become a geologist, engineer, biologist, wildlife scientist or entomologist? Visit professionals, conduct experiments, track wildlife, explore marshes, work with solar panels and much more! This program is based at Ashland Nature Center, Hockessin, DE.
