Native Plant Sale

April 29 - 30, 2010 - 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm (DNS Members Only Sale)
May 1, 2010 - 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (Open to the public)
May 2, 2010 - 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm (Open to the public)


Our Native Plant Sale features more than 300 rare, unusual and favorite varieties of native wildflowers, trees, shrubs, ferns and aquatic plants for all growing conditions, including drought-tolerant. Some are introductions from the nearby Mt. Cuba Center and many species attract wildlife such as birds and butterflies.

Delaware Nature Society's Coverdale Farm in Greenville, DE.

Would You Like to Volunteer?
Needs include: volunteers for field layout, volunteers to move, label, and water plants during set up days (Saturday, April 24, Monday, April 26 - Wednesday, April 28), and volunteers to cashier, water plants, give advice on plants, and assist customers with plants during sale days (Thursday April 29 - Sunday, May 2). Volunteer shifts are approximately 4 hours each.

Also Note: During the Native Plant sale, the nearby farm complex will not be open. However, we invite to you take advantage of numerous opportunities to visit the farm animals and explore trails during our Seasonal Programs, Farm Fun Days and the Harvest Moon Festival.
