HARVEST MOON FESTIVAL

FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)

  • What is the terrain like? Will have I have to walk far?
Coverdale Farm is comprised of 185 acres of fields, forest, ponds and historic buildings. Parking is near the Way Road entrance and everyone follows the long, rolling driveway to the festivities. The festivities are clustered but you should be prepared to walk up and down a few gentle hills.

  • Is the event handicapped accessible?
Handicapped parking is centrally located near most of the activities. However, the terrain is rolling and assistance is strongly recommended. Handicapped-access port-a-potties are provided.

  • What happens if it rains?
The Festival is held rain or shine. Even in the rain it's a lot of fun! Please come dressed for the weather. Many people stay for the day so you may want to bring extra clothing and/or sunscreen.

  • What does the cost of admission include?
Just about all of the activities are included in the admission with the exception of the rides and children's crafts. You will also want bring money for the VERY tempting refreshments and high quality, nature-related arts & crafts. Fresh-baked pies will be available for purchase and next to the parking lot is a great selection of pumpkins, mums and gourds.

  • Are there indoor restrooms?
No. There are quality port-a-potties with wash stations in several locations.

  • Why can't I bring my dog - I have him/her on a leash?
Sorry, dogs are not permitted, not even on a leash. For the sake of our farm animals who are very sensitive, small children who may be intimated, and people walking the fields/trails, we ask that you leave your dog at home.
