Whether you are just beginning your interest in nature, or wish to gain greater depth of understanding of local ecosystems, take advantage of this Fall-Spring course! Learn about the ecology of the Coastal Plain region that reside here during eight lectures and field trips led by a naturalist. Each participant will complete a field and classroom notebook in order to become certified. Receive a certificate and patch upon completion of the course.

Do you enjoy hiking, canoeing, wildlife, and being outdoors? Join the Abbott's Mill Teen Naturalists! Meet once a month for outdoor activities, volunteering at DNS events, and embark on a special summer trip. An information session will be held in September. Outing dates will be sent to registrants, but will include half and full days outings and overnights on Friday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, or public school days off. Registration fee does not include cost for occasional overnight trips or the summer event.

Partridge in a Pear Tree
