Children's Birthday Parties

Delaware Nature Society members:
Celebrate your child's special day at Ashland Nature Center!
Enjoy a one-hour nature program / walk followed by a half-hour of your own activities and refreshments.

Parties are held on the second Saturday of the month, 10:00-11:30 a.m., at outdoor picnic tables or indoors in the visitor center's auditorium, and scheduled at least one month in advance.

COST: $8/child; minimum 15 children, maximum 20.

The birthday child must be a Delaware Nature Society Household member, and all children must be at least 5 years old. A $50 nonrefundable deposit is required; balance is due one week before the party.

Choices for one-hour program/guided walk:

Animals of Ashland - Meet live and taxidermy examples of native Delaware animals, then hike the trails to search for them in the wild.

Butterflies (summer only) - Visit Ashland's Butterfly House, then take to the fields with nets to capture, identify, and release these colorful creatures.
