Make A Difference!

By contributing to the Delaware Nature Society Annual Giving Fund you help to sustain our award-winning education programs and support our irreplaceable natural areas. Our preservation, conservation and advocacy efforts wouldn't be possible without the generosity of you and donors like you!

Annual Giving allows the Delaware Nature Society to:

Offset the difference between the true cost of the educational programs and environmental services we provide and the fees we charge, allowing more families and individuals from every income bracket to benefit from our programming.

Reach more than 51,000 education program participants and more than 33,500 school student contacts with more than 100 different day & overnight programs.

Enrich the lives of needy children, families and disadvantaged students in Wilmington, New Castle, Dover, Milford, and Rehoboth through NatureLink programs, creating opportunities where none existed previously.

Recruit and train more than 1,000 volunteers to monitor streams, teach classes, plant trees, cultivate native plants, and work for the preservation of open space.

Hire part-time teachers to reach more school students with science education programs that provide more than 400 year-round environmental science, natural history, agricultural, and cultural history outdoor programs for all ages.

Maintain a scholarship program to further underwrite programs for needy families and underserved urban youth.

Continue our efforts to preserve natural areas and remain closely connected to local communities through involvement in land use issues and educating citizens to become engaged in the public process.
