DNS At A Glance

In November 2008, Charity Navigator, America's premier charity evaluator, awarded the Delaware Nature Society the coveted 4-star rating for sound fiscal management for the second year running! The calculations are based on an organization's ability to effectively manage and grow its finances. As the nonprofit sector continues to grow at an unprecedented pace, savvy donors are demanding more accountability, transparency and quantifiable results from the charities they choose to support with their hard-earned dollars. Charity Navigator provides donors with essential information needed to give them greater confidence in the charitable choices they make. Less than a quarter of the charities evaluated receive the highest rating of four stars, and only 18% receive the rating two years in a row, indicating the Delaware Nature Society outperforms the majority of non-profits in America with respect to fiscal responsibility.
