Discover different ways of seeing the natural world as you view nature through a camera lens.  Walk Ashland's trails using photography both as a scientific study skill and as an art form.  Use the camera to see color, form, and design that only nature can provide.  Learn the basics of photographic composition and how to convey a feeling through a photograph.  Fee includes use of digital cameras.

Help end the farm day with afternoon chores. Roll up your sleeves and lend a hand feeding and milking cows, bottle feeding calves, feeding pigs, chickens, chicks and sheep.  We'll clean water tubs, scrub the milking machine and sweep the barn.  Note: this program is recommended for families with children ages 6 years and older.

Try camping at the Bucktoe Creek Preserve where you will find a beautiful landscape, your own private camping spot, group activities, and helpful camping instructor/naturalists. Take a night hike and listen for owls in the forest. In the morning, explore the forests and meadows of the preserve as we take a walk to find wildlife. We will provide a fun snack for the camp fire and breakfast. Bring your own bag dinner. Use your own tent or borrow ours. Or, stay in an Adirondack shelter or hut.
