Activities

  • Meet our Animals: Take a self-guided visit to see Coverdale's animals
  • Garden fun: dig in the vegetable garden
  • Farm Scavenger Hunt: find them all
  • Picnic: bring a lunch to enjoy under the grand old oak trees
  • Story Time at 1 pm: listen to a farm favorite story read by our fabulous farm staff

Farm Fun Saturdays

Saturdays, May 9 – Sept. 26
9 am – 4 pm

Join us every Saturday for a fun-filled day on the farm.

Activities

  • Morning Farm Chores: Arrive promptly at 9 am to feed animals
  • Self-guided tours: tour the farmstead - animals, garden, observation bee hive, and CSA field
  • Shop our Welcome Barn: farm grown vegetable plants, Coverdale Farm canvas grocery bags, Coverdale hats, farm fresh produce June through September and more!
  • U-pick: walk our fields and pick herbs, flowers, tomatoes, and hot peppers in the 1-acre farmstead "crop plot" when in season

  • May 16: Sheep Shearing at 9:30 am
  • June 20: Cooking demo - early spring greens & great homemade dressings, 11 am - noon
  • July 18: Tractors, Trucks, and Tools - what makes the farm work? Self Explore 9 am – 4 pm
  • August 22: Celebrate National Honeybee Day - meet our bees & their keepers, noon - 2 pm
  • September 12: Bioblitz - help tally our plants and animals, 9 am - noon
